How to Avoid Scammers in P2P
Important: P2P transactions happen directly between users, and Bitbanker operators only get involved in resolving disputes.
Follow these simple rules to ensure your P2P transaction is safe.
An operator will only join the transaction after one of the participants clicks the «Call Operator» button. This option becomes available 15 minutes after the funds have been transferred to the other participant’s card. Operator messages are displayed in blue. Be cautious of users pretending to be an operator by starting their messages with «Arbitrator» or «Operator».
Bitbanker support team members will never ask for your password or request that you transfer funds to other accounts.
Avoid clicking on links shared by users in the chat. Scammers may send messages or emails that seem official but lead to fake websites designed to steal your information or money.
Do not complete the transaction or confirm the transfer until you have received the full amount in your card or Bitbanker balance. Click «Confirm» only after making sure the funds have been deposited.
Never agree to deals outside of the platform. Transactions made outside of Bitbanker are not protected by our service rules. If you make a deal outside, you risk losing your money. Any user who suggests discussing or completing the transaction outside the platform is breaking the rules.
If you encounter any fraud or suspicious behavior, immediately leave the transaction and report it to support. Accounts involved in fraudulent activity will be permanently banned.
